This Week’s AdvoCare Chevrolet at Dover International Speedway … Austin Dillon will pilot Chassis No. 109 in the Dover 200 at Dover International Speedway. Dillon drove this Chevrolet Camaro to a fifth-place finish at Auto Club Speedway in March. He also earned the pole award in this car at Michigan International Speedway, setting a new track record.

Dillon at Dover International Speedway … In Dillon’s lone Nationwide Series appearance at Dover International Speedway in 2012, he earned a sixth-place finish after starting 11th. The 2011 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion has two starts at the track in the Truck Series, earning his best finish of fourth in the May 2011 event.

The Season So Far … According to NASCAR’s Loop Data Season-to-Date Statistics, Dillon leads the Nationwide Series in Average Starting Position (4.8), ranks fourth in Laps in the Top 15 (85.8 percent), is the fifth-Fastest Driver on Restarts (10.1) and is ranked fifth in Laps on the Lead Lap (93.29 percent).

Spark your Engines … Dillon and the RCR team will sport the colors of award-winning premier health and wellness company AdvoCare on the No. 3 Chevrolet at Dover International Speedway. The health and wellness company will pledge $2,000 to CIPT for a top-five finish and $1,000 for a top-10 finish. So far this season, the No. 3 team has raised $7,000 towards the cause. The Childress Institute invests resources in research, education and awareness to improve the treatment for critically injured children in the U.S. and AdvoCare’s generous donations are aimed at helping to raise awareness for pediatric trauma, the No. 1 killer of children in America. You can help save the lives of injured children by making a contribution to the Childress Institute in two ways: donate $33 in honor of Dillon via his website, or text WIN to 80077 to make a $10 donation.

Double Duty … In addition to driving the No. 3 AdvoCare Chevrolet, Dillon is scheduled to race the No. 51 Chevrolet for Phoenix Racing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series this weekend. Sunday’s Sprint Cup Series race is scheduled to air live on FOX at 1 p.m. Eastern Time.

AUSTIN DILLON QUOTE:

What do you think about Dover International Speedway? Do you like racing on concrete?

“Dover International Speedway is one of my favorite tracks because of the physical aspect of the track. You have to muscle your way around that place. With a good car, you can really string out over a long run and gain and pass people. It’s a fast track. It’s a place that aggressive drivers like.”

They say Dover International Speedway is a place where the rubber lays down in an unusual fashion. Can you describe that?

“Over a long run, I’ve actually seen where cars can move up the track and carry some speed on the long run, so I enjoy when the track spreads out with the rubber and when it lays down and picks up because it’s like dirt racing. You’re always looking for that line. There’s a little bit of extra speed here and there with the rubber laying down and picking up.”
