Trio penalised over race-one start

Pepe Oriola, Marc Basseng and Nikolay Karamyshev have been issued with 30-second time penalties following today’s first race at Moscow Raceway.

Stewards deemed the trio to have gained an unfair advantage from jump-starting and the added time has significant repercussions for Oriola, who was originally classified in eighth position.

The Spaniard now drops to 17th as a result, with Basseng demoted to 18th from 14th while Karamyshev retains his last position finish.

James Nash, Tom Chilton and Stefano D’Aste all gain a place as a result.
