British Touring Car racer Jack Goff will miss the next round at Knockhill.
The Team Hard Vauxhall Insignia racer currently lies 18th in the standings, but will miss the Scottish round at the end of the month to focus on the final three rounds of 2013.
Team boss Tony Gilham confirmed Kieran Gallagher, who had been scheduled to make his BTCC debut in the team’s other Insignia, will now drive Goff’s car.
“It was a last-minute change because Jack decided not to do Knockhill,” Gilham told AUTOSPORT. “He’s not been there before and the budget is a little tight.”
Gilham also said a driver for the second Insignia should be announced tomorrow.
Team Hard tested Gallagher and British club racer Chris Knox at Brands Hatch this week, while Gilham also drove an Insignia.
Warren Scott drove the team’s second VW Passat in the same test.
“Warren was absolutely flying and I’m very pleased with him,” added Gilham.
“It was exciting to drive the Insignia and see how good a job the boys have done since I drove it last year. It was a completely different car.”
