By now, we all know that everyone is supposed to be driving smaller vehicles. But we’re not doing a very good job of it. At almost every redesign, cars and trucks gain size, mass, or both. Even the smallest vehicles often get bigger when redesigned, creating a cycle whereby the bottom slot opens up, ready to be filled by a new, smaller model.
