Trevor Bayne Set to Present Radio Disney’s Best Music Group

CONCORD, N.C. (April 26, 2013) – Roush Fenway Racing’s Trevor Bayne will walk the red carpet at the 2013 Radio Disney Music Awards in Los Angeles this Saturday night, before handing out the award for Best Music Group.

The event promises to carry more of the feel of a concert than an awards show, with awards handed out amid a variety of performance. The show’s producers see Bayne as a perfect fit for their younger demographic. One of the sports most celebrated up and coming talents, Bayne – who competes in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series – reached near ‘teen idol’ status after his improbable victory in the 2011 Daytona 500.

An avid athlete who trains for triathlons in his spare time, Bayne will be paired up alongside one of Disney’s own young athletes and will make the presentation with Olivia Hunt. Hunt stars on Disney XD’s Kickin’ It; a show centering around a martial arts studio.

The red carpet walk into the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE will begin live at 4:00 p.m. (PDT) on Saturday, with the awards show following at 6: 00 p.m.

Radio Disney will present the ceremony in segments on VEVO, Disney Channel, Radio Disney, RadioDisney.com and Disney.com.
