By now, Mercedes-Benz’s 2014 CLA45 AMG, the high-performance iteration of the new CLA250 sedan, is the biggest non-surprise in the industry. Not only have our spy photographers captured CLA45 test mules in the wild, but Mercedes-Benz itself published a few “spy” photos of mildly camouflaged CLA45s, as well as a screengrab from an upcoming video game showing a digitally rendered iteration of the car. Now, just a week before the CLA45 AMG’s scheduled 2013 New York auto-show debut, images of the car have leaked onto a European website.

In terms of the car’s hardware, well, we know basically all of its technical specs, too. This information—355-hp turbo four, all-wheel drive, suspension and braking upgrades—come courtesy of the identical-under-the-skin A45 AMG hatchback introduced for Europe. Despite the total lack of surprise in the CLA45 AMG’s big reveal, we still suggest checking back to this space next week for full details and U.S.-market specs, as well as full coverage of the New York auto show.
