Quaife-Hobbs penalised for accident

Adrian Quaife-Hobbs has been handed a penalty for his collision with team-mate Daniel de Jong during the first race of the GP2 season at Sepang on Saturday.

Quaife-Hobbs took both himself and MP Motorsport team-mate de Jong out of the race after colliding with the Dutch driver on lap four of the event.

They were both forced to retire after the crash.

After the race Quaife-Hobbs was handed a 25-second penalty, which means the Briton will start from 25th position in tomorrow’s sprint race.
