Round Seven of the 2013 iRacing.com World Championship Grand Prix Series is set for Saturday, May 25 at Watkins Glen. The online race will be broadcast on iRacing.com/live beginning at 14:00 GMT (10:00 am EST).
With his fourth win on the season at Sebring fortnight ago, Greger Huttu solidified his strangle-hold on the 2013 iWCGPS title chase. The two-time World Champion and now stands more than 100 points clear of all but 2011 champion Hugo Luis who, with wins at Spa and Phillip Island, is the only other driver to visit the winners circle so far this season. Although Luis will be looking to make inroads on Huttu’s advantage on Saturday, history suggests he has a tough row to hoe as Huttu has an unblemished record on three previous WDC events at The Glen. Meanwhile, Atze Kerkhof, Martin Krönke and Jake Stergios are out to solidify their bid for third place in the standings, while Max Dell’Orco – a contender in the past couple of races — could be on the verge of a breakthrough performance.
