What’s life like for a successful, retired F1 driver? Just ask Michael Schumacher, who isn’t exactly whittling away his remaining days in a rocking chair. He recently gathered with former Mercedes-AMG Petronas teammate Nico Rosberg, as well as retired racing drivers Bernd Schneider, Bernd Mayländer, and Karl Wendlinger at the Nürburgring Nordschleife for some friendly parade-lapping in some hot AMG metal. As part of a promotional event, the drivers took to the track in a Mercedes-AMG F1 car, a Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG, an E63 AMG, an SLS AMG Black Series, and an SLS AMG GT3 race car—and the Mercedes-AMG team captured snippets of the festivities and made them into a video. We’re not sure what the point of the video is, but there are some nice, sweeping shots of Schumacher-driven F1 racer hustling down the Nürburgring’s undulating pavement, and there’s something oddly neat about seeing an F1 car share the tarmac with the humble A45.
